Our growth and large population base requires us to be innovative by identifying and providing new services and to improve the services and resources currently available to the citizens we serve. The philosophy of the Sheriff's Office is to accomplish that duty through a community policing commitment. Our policing objective is to help unite the community with public safety professionals so that we may all work together to solve and prevent crime, resolve problems with increasing effectiveness, and provide for the diverse public safety needs of our community. The Sheriff's Office is responsible for law enforcement, investigative and detentions functions throughout the County. In addition, we provide communications dispatch services for eight fire departments that serve both Douglas and Arapahoe County.
