The Edgewater Police Department operates under a Council/Manager form of municipal government. Located in Volusia County, the department has, as its primary mission, the safety and well being of the City’s 21,000 full-time residents. The Department consists of 33 full-time officers, 3 reserve officers and four civilian staff. In addition to traditional police services, we offer additional assistance with specific requests in a variety of areas, including vacant house watched, neighborhood watch coordination, business checks, and V.I.N. verifications.
