The Alachua County Sheriff's Office is a multidimensional law enforcement agency consisting of 253 sworn Deputies, 196 Detention Officers, and 286 non-sworn support employees. The ACSO is divided into four Departments which all report to the Chief of Staff. The departments are: Operations Division, Technical Services, Administrative Services and the Department of the Jail. Each area is divided into Divisions: Operations has Criminal Investigations, Patrol and Judicial Services and Training; Technical Services has Communications, Fleet and Property, Support Services, False Alarm Reduction, Technical Systems and Information Technology; Administrative Services has Fiscal, Records and Human Resources and Department of the Jail has Security Operations and Staff Services.
