The Farmville Police Department is comprised of 16 sworn police officers, 4 civilian dispatchers and 1 records clerk. These personnel are broken into 4 patrol squads consisting of a Sergeant, 2 officers and a dispatcher on each squad. Our staff also includes 1 criminal investigator, 1 drug officer, 1 records clerk, 1 Lieutenant/Assistant Chief and the Chief of Police. Additionally we employ a part-time animal control officer. Unlike many smaller police departments, we have our own dispatch center, which allows the police department to be open for your convenience at all times.
