The basic functions and priorities of the Clinton Police Department are to continue to maintain high professional standards by protecting the citizens of Clinton City through patrol, investigation, and preventive police work. During the past year, the Police Department has had an increase in the number of calls requesting police service. We have increased the number of police officers from 8 full time to 11 full time sworn officers.
